Pumping stations that don't stop in August
We design, build and maintain pumping and filtration systems for resorts, golf courses, condominiums, estates and large infrastructure. Own team, two crane trucks and an automation electrician.
Three generations, one trade
The company was founded in 1968 as SILGAR. Three generations later, we still do the same thing: put water where it is needed, at the pressure it is needed, and keep it running.
We work from Santarém across the whole country, with regular activity on the Alentejo coast — Tróia, Comporta, Melides, Grândola — Greater Lisbon and the Setúbal peninsula.
What we do
- Pumping stations. From a single borehole pump to multi-pump pressurisation sets with variable speed drives.
- Filtration. Sand, mesh, disc and hydrocyclone heads, sized to the actual water source rather than to a catalogue.
- Boreholes. Pump sizing, installation and recovery, with our own crane trucks.
- Automation. Control panels, level and pressure control, dry-run protection and remote monitoring.
- Service. Own workshop. We repair what we sell, which is why we are careful about what we sell.
Why sizing is the whole job
A pump does not work where the catalogue says. It works where its own curve crosses the curve of your installation — and that point moves as soon as the water level drops or a filter starts to clog.
We measure the dynamic level on site before proposing anything. A pump sized to the static level looks right on paper and runs off its curve as soon as irrigation starts: more energy, more heat, shorter life.
Working with foreign owners
A significant share of the properties we serve on the Alentejo coast belong to owners who are not in Portugal all year. That changes what matters: remote monitoring, a maintenance contract that does not depend on someone noticing a problem, and a phone that is answered by the person who knows the installation.
